The Great gatsby
Fame, fortune, and scandal triumph, but deep within the pages lies one of the greatest rags to riches stories ever told. This novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald tells the story of a man who came from nothing and became something. Jay Gatsby rose to his prominence through hard work, dedication, and a just little bit of luck (along with some criminal activity). But a message resonates with readers, that they too can go from nothing to everything, and that only in this nation can this happen. This work encompasses the very real Dream that so many Americans clung to in the early 20th century.
