Introduction
From the birth of the nation to its rise as a global power, the Dream flourished. The former colonists celebrated their newly found freedom and liberty. The trailblazers left everything so they could in time gain everything in the undiscovered West. Slaves were emancipated and rejoiced in their emancipation. This time of expansion led to the spread of the American Dream to new territories, and the principles that the Dream rests on became numerous and achievable for many Americans in every part of the nation.
