I Have a dream
"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed - we hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." - Martin Luther King Jr.
From the steps in front of the Emancipator, King addressed hundreds of thousands of people, all of whom were affected by the tragedies against the African American community. While his famous "I Have A Dream" speech moved legislators to institute changes in Southern governments, King still knew that it would be an endless struggle for equality. He shared the foundation of his own American Dream, and the Dream of every African American in the country who simply wanted to be treated as equals.
